– by Kellvin Chavez

starlight According to our very own El Mayimbe, 20th Century Fox has won the movie rights to Mark Millar's upcoming comicbook space fantasy titled Starlight. Simon Kinberg (best known for his work in the X-Men film franchise) is attached to produce the project.

Starlight is intended to be a six-issue miniseries.

El Mayimbe says the ucpoming comic is like Flash Gordon-meets-The Dark Knight Returns, the story centers on a space hero who saved the universe 35 years ago but came back to Earth, where no one believed his fantastic stories. He settled down, got married, had kids and got old. And then comes back for one last adventure.

Starlight: a heroic tale drawn by Goran Parlov will hit stores next year.
