Ali Larter (Resident Evil: Extinction, Final Destination) has signed on to star in the feature directorial debut of Alistair Legrand- a supernatural horror film called The Diabolical. Legrand is a veteran of music videos and commercials and is known for his strong, visual style. He also co-wrote the film.
The movie will center on Larter's character, "a single mother who with her children is awoken nightly by an increasingly strange and intense presence. She seeks help from her scientist boyfriend Nikolai, who begins a hunt to destroy the violet spirit that paranormal experts are too frightened to take on." (Synopsis courtesy of Deadline)
This isn't Larter's first foray into horror, as she starred in Final Destination- which gave way to a series of sequels. She can currently be seen on TNT's Legends, and was last seen on the big screen in Resident Evil: Afterlife back in 2010.
Filming for The Diabolical will begin this coming February.
