Two 60-Second TV Spots For ‘The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug’

hobbit2 Warner Bros. Pictures has released two new 60-second TV Spots for Peter Jackson's second chapter of his Tolkien trilogy "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug,"starring Ian McKellen, Martin Freeman, Richard Armitage, Cate Blanchett, Orlando Bloom, Christopher Lee, Hugo Weaving, Evangeline Lilly, John Bell, Jed Brophy, Adam Brown, John Callen, and Benedict Cumberbatch.

Both TV spots aired last night but show NO new footage from the film.

The second in a trilogy of films adapting the enduringly popular masterpiece “The Hobbit,” by J.R.R. Tolkien, “The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug” continues the adventure of the title character Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman) as he journeys with the Wizard Gandalf (Ian McKellen) and thirteen Dwarves, led by Thorin Oakenshield (Richard Armitage) on an epic quest to reclaim the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor.
