Luke Evans Has Been Offered The Villain Role In 'Fast Six'

– by Philip Sticco

Actor Luke Evans is having kind of an awesome year. He was in 2011's Immortals, which didn't break and records, but held it's own at the box office, and he's following that with a role in Peter Jackson's duet of Hobbit films. Now, Twitch Film is reporting Evans has been offered the main villain role in Fast Six, the next installment of The Fast and the Furious franchise.

Word is this is the role Jason Statham turned down. Evans is cool, but I would have loved to see Statham play a villain. Can you imagine the kick ass fight he would have had with Vin Diesel and The Rock? Oh well.

Fast Six hits theatres May 24, 2013. Justin Lin is back in the director's chair with Chris Morgan once again writing the script. Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez Jordana Brewster are also returning.
