There Is Going To Be Another 'Garbage Pail Kids' Movie

Michael Eisner bought the Topps trading card company back in 2007 with plans to adapt some of their card series into films and he has finally found his first project.

May God have mercy on our souls...

Yes, Mr Eisner's The Tormante Company is going pay for, develop and produce a feature film based on The Garbage Pail Kids trading cards.

Most of my preteen growing up was done during the 80s, so I'm more than a little familiar with this line. My school was one of the many to ban the cards, but that only made us want them more. Some of the plots my friends hatched to get the cards in and out of school would have made Danny Ocean proud.

The film will be directed by PES. Michael Vukadinovich is writing the script based on an idea he conceived with PES.

This is one remake I can get behind. The original film never captured the layered Dickensian pathos of the card series. Here's the trailer for the 1987 Garbage Pail Kids movie starring Mackenzie Astin.
